Title: Music Box Lullaby
Prompt: Music Box
Fandom: Original
Characters: Bernd, Amber, Fritz
Word count: 126
Rating: G
Summary: Amber plays the music box Bernd got for baby Fritz…
Author’s note: This is unbetaed, so any mistakes therein are my own. Please also note that this was written for Allbingo’s June Cotton Candy Bingo and that Amber belongs to my beta Kat.
Amber reached for the music box Bernd had given her when she was pregnant with their son, Fritz. He had found it in their local thrift store and thought she and the baby would like it. He was right; Amber loved the little music box and Fritz seemed to like the melody it played too.
It was made of wood and was square in shape, and painted a dark blue. A silver crescent moon and a few stars decorated the lid. Amber cranked the key on the bottom of the music box, setting it down on the shelf above the dresser. She lifted the lid and Brahms’s Lullaby began to play. She kissed her fingers, lightly brushing them against Fritz’s cheek, before leaving her baby sleep.
